Tagliamonte creates jewelry that hearkens back to a bygone era in history. This pair of earrings is another classic design. It is crafted from solid 14K yellow gold and has oval Venetian glass intaglios in a lovely purple color depicting the story of the Eagle and the Peacock. Below each intaglio is 5mm freshwater cultured Pearl. Lever back closure.
The Moral Story of the Peacock and the Eagle is that we should be happy with what we have. Being upset with what we don't have but others' do will make us miserable. We will then miss the gifts of life we actually possess. The peacock was a bird with modest beauty and wanted to stand out more. Juno blessed him with its beautiful feathers and brilliant colors. As he fills out, the train of feathers becomes too heavy and does not allow him to fly any longer. The peacock looks with envy at the ability of the Eagle to fly freely in the sky. Don't trade your freedom for fancy things.
