It consists of a large oval blue Venetian intaglio with the image of Terpsichore carved in it. Dangling below is a faceted rectangular Citrine and below that is a faceted square shaped Amethyst and finally, below that is a 16mm Fresh water cultured Pearl. This pendant motif is attached to strands of oval fresh water cultured Pearls. Signora clasp. Be the woman who gets noticed for her exquisite taste.
In Greek mythology, Terpsichore, which means, "delight in dancing", is one of the nine Muses. She is the goddess of dance and chorus. She lends her name to the word "terpsichorean", which means "of or relating to dance". Although she is usually depicted sitting down holding a lyre, in this intaglio she is standing. She is truly a beauty!
