The Val Gardena Collection features wooden items that are hand carved by talented artisans from this region in Italy. The valley is famous for its wooden art tradition. Thanks to the great workmanship of these artisans, two art schools opened in Val Gardena where students have become famous all over the world for their unique, high-quality pieces characterized by an extremely high artistic value. Here, many wood craftsmen work together in order to realise all these wonderful creations: the wood sculptor, the wood carver, the wood engraver, the decorator, the painter and the gilder.
This wooden carving is Brand new. It represents a beautiful Cherub holding an open book ready to hang on a wall. He is a beautiful "putto", cherub figure that has such a sweetness to his demeanor. Completely carved by hand and painstakingly painted, he would look at home in any decor. What I have found is that customers who add this type of art to their homes, say that a new level of warmth is created. They can't help but smile:)
