Jim and Maria Pearl had planned to dance to
this song on her wedding day. On occasion
they practiced while the song played on
the jukebox. However, the dance was not
meant to be; but Jim has constant memories
of his Maria Pearl and every morning when he
spreads his Tupelo Honey on toast, he is
reminded of how sweet she was and
will always be.
